A starter media note, without a specific work attached yet.

Before deciding what a film, image, or piece of music means, try naming one detail that caught your attention.

A repeated shape. A pause. A change in pace. Write what you noticed, then give your interpretation its own sentence.

A small response

  • The work: title, creator, and a link back to the source.
  • The detail: something you can point to or describe.
  • The response: what it made you think or feel.
  • The question: what you want to look at or listen for again.

You do not need to turn the response into a review. One detail can lead to one useful note. A question can connect it to something read or stay open for another visit.

If an interpretation feels uncertain, say so. Making the edges visible is part of sharing the thought.
